Rock Star North has taken the next step into the Grand Theft Auto world in GTA Vice City.This is Rockstar's 2nd attempt into the 3D realm of GTA.GTA3 was the best console game release last year on any platform and the sales show it.Rock Star has improved GTA Vice City greatly over it's younger brother in GTA3.Most noticable is the graphical department.While GTA3 was a graphical marvel it still lacked in some areas such as textures,pop up,etc.The character models were bland and the city dark and gloomy.Vice City looks to sport double the resoulution as GTA3 did.You'll notice the charatcer models are much more enhanced this time around.The dull,grimy look of GTA3 has been replaced with sandy beaches and bright neon of Vice City.The sound track has improved with over 9 hours of music including famous 80's bands like Judas Priest and Flock of Seagulls.Vice City takes us back in time to the 1980's where everyone was greedy and seedy.You play as Tommy Vercetti,an ex con who is sent to Vice City to pull a job for Mob Capo Sonny Forelli.Of course everything that could go wrong does and Tommy is left broke and on his own in Vice city.Needless to say Sonny wants his money back that Tommy lost and will do anything to get it.This leaves Tommy with no other choice but to pretty much deal with Vice City's many gangs including Cuban,Bikers and more.Tommy must stroll around Vice City doing jobs and making money to pay back Sonny and get a little revenge on the punk's who robbed him/set him up.This is one of the hottest games of the year.A must have for any owner of the PS2.(PS2 exclusive)

Rockstar has done it once again, making a game so foul, violent, and addictive it's impossible to avoid it. Grand Theft Auto: Vice City is the follow-up to the Best Selling Game of the Year in 2001: Grand Theft Auto 3 and its obvious that this game is even more bloody, sadistic, and crazy than GTA3. Fans could not wait to purchase and play this game the first day it came out because it was so addictive, capturing the player and holding him hostage as he raced through streets with cops hot on his trail. What makes this game so spectacular is its do-whatever-you-want format. If you want to just beat the game by helping mob bosses, then that's fine. But any single time you feel bored you can choose to do almost anything, whether its stealing cars and running over people or simply vandalizing police cars and beating up the cops. Grand Theft Auto: Vice City puts you into the role of Tommy Vercetti (voiced by Goodfellas star Ray Liotta), a criminal involved in a crime that goes horribly wrong and pits him against the cops and lawyers of Vice City, a crime-infested city filled with rich cars, wealthy men, and beautiful women. With his old boss Sonny Forelli after him, Tommy is left with no choice than fight back against the unbeatable force of police men. What follows is a series of explosions, gunfights, hand-to-hand combat, and an awful lot of angry people mad at you for stealing their powerful and fast cars. You'll be surprised how much you'll want to play this game. Every second you're either stealing a brand new car, hanging out with your boss' women, or just plain relaxing by bashing cops with a baseball bat and then wrecking their car into pieces. Whatever it is, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City is a pure adrenaline rush. Featuring over 120 cars each with a bit of the 80's thrown into them and over six radio stations that all add up to 9.5 hours of real music and funny fake ads, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City is a definite must-have. If you only get one game in your lifetime, get this (or the next Grand Theft Auto which is going to be even better). Rockstar tried to give its fans a good game. They sure as heck succeeded. But they didn't just make good.They

Everything that made GTA III so fabulous has returned in Vice City. The freedom of non-linear gameplay, excellent vehicle physics, and of course...the controversial ability to commit just about every crime imaginable in the comfort of your own living room. It also adds several improvements over the last game. Most noted being the inclusion of street bikes, dirt bikes, and aircraft. The various motorcycles are a blast to speed around on, and add a whole new stunt driving element that was limited to cars in GTA III. The soundtrack in Vice City is unmatched. Even if you don't care for any of the music from the 80's, it is hard not to be impressed by the HUGE assortment of tunes. From rockin' out with the likes of Quiet Riot and Twisted Sister, to cheesy New Wave Pop that will take those who grew up in the decade back. They've also given the main character an actual voice this go around (played by Ray Liotta), which I thought was a needed addition. I could go on and on about GTA: Vice City, and fill 20 pages with praises for the game. But it's much easier to say: If you enjoyed GTA III, you should definately do yourself a favor and pick up a copy of Vice City. It is, simply put, THE single greatest game on the Playstation 2.
