Average Rating: Rating: - Does the Job This software allows you to make a backup copy of your DVD movies. You will need a DVD writer and 2 blank DVD (either -R or -RW or +R or +RW depending on your writer). The reason it needs 2 DVD's is that each blank DVD is 4.7 Gig. A typical movie DVD is over 7 Gig, thus 2 DVD's to back one up. I used it to back up Reign of Fire. It puts a backup notice on the front of DVD, it puts a nice insert disk 2 at a breakpoint that you can define. The only quirkey thing is that when the 2nd DVD finishes playing it starts over again at the beginning of the 2ND DVD. If you value your DVD collection and have a DVD writer and some bulk DVD's your all set to make backups and put the origional DVD 's away. Rating: - poor service - don't buy this This is quite reliable if the DVD you want to back up is a DVD-5 (single layer), but most DVDs nowadays are not. You have to use nero to actually write the data to your writable disc, which works OK for disc 1, but for disc 2, its almost impossible and rarely works. You get a "compilation will not write" message. What's worse, there is basically no live service at all. Your only option is to ask a question by posting it on the dvdxcopy website forum. What a joke. Of course, the mods there are quick to delete questions which reveal/indicate the extent to which this program fails to deliver (i.e. see above). 321 studios needs to get their act in shape and fix this problem with an update immediately. However, I doubt they will do this. This program is a waste of time and [$]. Rating: - It didn't work for me I purchased the program and had problems with it right away. After a lengthy wait tech support said what I bought was slightly out of date and I needed to download a newer version. That won't run either, lacking patience I have placed it in my circular file.
