Rating: - Celine has a wonderful voice, BUT... ...she totally butchered this song. They turned a beautifuly romantic and haunting song and stripped EVERY SINGLE ounce of emotion out of it. I love dance music, Celine Dion, and the original version of this song. Put them together and you get pure .... A hint of feeling in Celine's performance could have made this an excellent dance record. Rating: - Powerful... but passionless I admit that I'm a huge Celine fan and always have been. But, the lack of soul on her latest hit 'I Drove All Night' sort of bothers me. It bothers me like her rendition of 'At Last' last year. Powerful, but very mechanical. I love the music, as it really is an awesome dance track. I also love the vocal remix, which is a great song for the club scene. The dub version is exactly like the vocal mix, except without any vocals. It's really just an instrumental, or karaoke version, of the vocal mix (which makes it a little bit tiring to listen to - seeing that it's almost 8 minutes long). I get the sense that Celine just walked into the recording studio, sang into a microphone, and walked out - Where's the passion in that? Where's the feeling? Sony, and Celine, are really just hoping to cash in on all of the hype surrounding the debut of her 3-year long stint in Vegas with this project. Celine truly is one the world's greatest voices. It's just a shame that this song lacks the soul and expressiveness that she is capable of. As a note of interest, the Canadian version of this single is the same as the overseas version (except without 'Ten Days' as the b-side). If you already have last year's album (which contains 'Ten Days'), the Canadian single might be a worth while investment.
