Average Rating: Rating: - Bonnaroo Double CD Deluxe Edition Exceeds High Expectations Live From Bonnaroo Double CD The live from Bonnaroo Double CD was released on Tuesday, September 24th and features two discs of incredible live performance from this summers ultimate music festival. Fans of all types of music will find themselves enthralled with this collection, which gathers together some of the most explosive and incredible of today'slive talent. This album chronicles some of the most exciting bands out there and captures them at their best. The deluxe edition packaging features a beautiful full-color booklet with photos by Danny Clinch and original liner notes. Fan of music should not miss this incredible collection! Rating: - An Ample Compilation... Who ever edited this CD set should get a pat on the back. they did a great job, it must have been horrible to have to hack down the hundreds of awesome songs performed by a number of down right rockin' bands. I would like to have seen some of the Disco Biscuit's on this album but more importantly I would loved to have seen some of Colonel Les Claypool's Bucket of Bernie Brains! That is possibly the coolest live show that I have ever heard! For those of you that share this mutual disapointment should check out the DVD, it contains one song from the Bernie Brains set. This CD contains a lot of the solid performances that were given at the Festival but falls short of the legacy that the Bonnaroo Music Festival left in its wake. There are some blistering performances like the Frog Brigade track but overall it just falls short. If you were at the Festival don't bother with this CD get the DVD, unless you are a completionist. For the rest of you to get a good feeling for the type of music exebitioned at the Festival check it out, they should release an eight or nine CD set including some full sets but oh well! Rating: - A Truely Unique Experience This 2 Disc set amazes me with its originality. The Bonnaroo Festival must have been a very unique show, cramming all those types of music into one great Music Fest. The cd is filled with the crazy jams of widespread panic and string cheese, along with the regae of Ben Harper, funky jazz of Galactic, Blues of Gov't Mule, Talented vocals and piano of Norah Jones, and just feel good stuff from Jack Johnson, Phil Lesh, and Robert Randolph. This album is worth checking out but it has its downdides. A few bad or boring songs keep me from giving this cd a 5, but check it out for yourself.
