Average Rating: Rating: - Counted down the days I'm not an avid watcher of Ally McBeal. However, seeing the previews for last years season finally prompted me to tune in. I was amazed when I heard Josh sing. His voice is so powerful it feels like he is standing in front of you performing live....not coming out of the television set. Through the Ally McBeal website I found out who he was and went on a mad search via the internet to find his CD. I couldn't believe that I'd have to wait for a November release!!! I went to the Josh Groban website and signed up for all the information I could get. I'm thrilled with the fact that they send me emails to tell me where I can see Josh perform. I couldn't believe it when Josh performed on the Ally Christmas episode. That entire episode was extremely moving but at the end when Josh sang I was a blubbering fool. The song was so tied to the episode but more than that it tied in the events of September 11 as well. I wish Josh a very long successful career and hope he will tour at some point. Rating: - Mesmerizing Baritone I first became aware of this young man's vocal abilities by accident, tuning into Rosie O'Donell's show one afternoon. I didn't get his name correctly, just Josh G-something. When I was able to find his CD, I listened to the entire thing with headphones on and was reduced to tears several times by the emotion and sincerety conveyed in his voice and the words of the ballads chosen for this CD. I've never been interested in operatic singers or songs in Italian or Spanish before, but I am now a devoted fan of this new genre..Classical Alternative, or whatever it's being called this week (hard to classify). Everyone I've introduced to Josh's voice has been won over and bought the CD, usually after searching alot in the store for where it's located. My favorites are Gira Con Me and Let Me Fall from Cirque de Soleil. His diction is so clear on the Italian and Spanish lyrics, his breath support and phrasing reflect his classical vocal training. For a 21 yr old young man from LA, he sings with a maturity beyond his years. I would recommend this CD to ANYONE, and have! Thanks for the opportunity to review the CD for your readers. Rating: - Yep, he's now my favorite! Well, it looks like Josh Groban stole my heart once again!...and this time, I've decided that he's definitely my favorite artist. For Christmas, I received his "In Concert," CD, and became totally addicted to it, and then I decided to run out to Best Buy to buy this CD after Christmas...and now I'm addicted to this one! (Sorry, I am kind of late with receiving his CDs and not following him from day one...but I am a huge fan, I have to admit.) I'm driving my friends and family nuts; they say I'm obsessed, I just say, "I'm a Grobanite!" "Josh Groban" has more songs to offer than "In Concert," but I can't say that it's actually a better album to listen to. They both are incredible CDs; my favorite song (at the moment, of course...they change!) on "Josh Groban" is track #5, "To Where You Are." It's so romantic, it makes me almost cry! Track #13, "The Prayer" with Charlotte Church is amazing, too. A lot of the songs on the CD are in either Spanish and/or Italian, so I have absolutely no clue what he's saying, so I do my best to not sing along, and instead admire his gorgeous voice. (Sorry, I speak English as my first language, and German as my second.) The two Josh Groban CDs I have just aren't enough for me...I can't want to see/hear more from Josh! I hope this guy does a tour; I would do anything to see him live, up close and personal, in concert! Somebody needs a huge pat on the back for the incredible songs and albums that have been produced my this musical genius; more like a huge kiss...I'd give Josh that, ha!
