Linda Eder has really outdone herself this time! Each song on this CD shows off Linda's perfect vocals in different ways. Anthem (from Chess) shows off the power of her voice, and I'll be seeing you is performed so beautifully and clear. Don't Rain On My Parade is a nice tribute to Barbra Streisand, a singer that Linda has always deeply admired. There are similarities between Linda and Barbra's voices, but they are each unique in their own ways. This CD also contains three of Linda's older songs, including Gold, Man of La Mancha and Unusual Way.Linda Eder has a flawless, three-octave range voice that would give you chills. I've seen her three times in concert and she always amazes me. She has performed at Carnegie Hall three times to standing ovations, and glowing reviews from some of New York's toughest critics. The famed Boston Pops Orchestra have had her twice as a guest to perform with them, and conductor Keith Lockhart described her as a phenomenon. Her Broadway career has been very successful, and she was the winner on Star Search many years ago. There is no doubt that Linda Eder is one of the best singers out there today!

The release of Broadway, My Way brings Linda Eder right back to where I discovered her..on Broadway. The powerful I Am What I Am (from La Cage Aux Folles) leaves you wanting to shout right along with her... "I Am What I Am!" Gold (from Camille Claudel)is sung with such emotion that you feel as though Camille herself is singing to you, along with Anthem (from Chess) are nearly impossible to get through without shedding a tear. Two favorites from Linda Eder's "It's Time" appear here...the beautiful, emotional vocal Unusual Way (from Nine)and the triumphant Man of La Mancha (I, Don Quixote) gives off a heart-pounding energy. Edelweiss (from The Sound Of Music) is simply stunning, with Ms. Eder herself doing all backgound vocals. Don't Rain On My Parade (from Funny Girl) belongs on this album most of all, done HER way...no need to compare! A New Life (from Jekyll and Hyde) a beautifully written ballad by outstanding composer/husband Frank Wildhorn takes Ms. Eder back to her role as Lucy in Jekyll. Her soaring belt is amazing in this new recording and to think I thought it was impossible to improve from the original! Some People (from Gypsy) unlike any version I've heard, is plain and simple a fun track, makes you want to get up and dance! Broadway, My Way is a must for all Linda Eder fans; For all music lovers, this is a sensational album, a total package if you will!

Once in a while an artist will put out an album that can make you stop dead in your tracks and say, "WOW!" With Linda Eder's latest album, Broadaway My Way, she has done exactly that... and then some! Linda's taken some of Broadway's best known, and some of the lesser known tunes and turned them into the compilation of a lifetime. She tackles such showstoppers as Some People, I Am What I Am and has even boldly gone where no one has gone before. Her nothing short of AMAZING rendition of Don't Rain on My Parade will have even die hard Streisand fans saying, "Barbra who?!?!" But Linda doesn't stop there. In keeping with the "Broadway HER Way" theme, Linda goes off into a whirlwind of songs usually done by men. The Impossible Dream, Anthem, and What Kind of Fool Am I? are just some of the songs in this album that Linda sings in her own inimitable style. Of course Eder does not neglect the songs created by her Husband/Composer, Frank Wildhorn. A New Life from Jekyll & Hyde which marked her Broadway debut, and Gold from the upcoming production of Camille Claudel are the songs that best demonstrate her incredible vocal talents.
