Average Rating: Rating: - Great French Press without the worry of breaking glass. The pot is nicely designed. It looks great. The screen is snug & fine mesh. I don't think leaving coffee in a thermal pot would taste very good. But, I didn't buy this FP for it's thermal capabilities. I bought the stainless steel pot because I have had glass French Presses break on me. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another if & when this one needs to be replaced. Rating: - Mmmm, fresh coffee.... I purchased this press as a Christmas present for a coffee lover. We are both very pleased with it! In just 4 minutes it made excellent coffee with no grinds whatsoever in the brew. We used filtered drinking water from our cooler and fresh ground coffee and it was some of the best coffee I've tasted. We got about 3 big cups out of it and it did stay hot for quite awhile, although we drank it up too quickly to find out just how long it would stay hot. It was also easy clean-up, very few parts to clean out thanks to it's simple design. This will be great to travel and camp with as well as make great coffee quickly in the morning. Highly recommended for coffee lovers! Rating: - Nice solid Press I really like french presses. And this one doesn't disapoint me. I know it's illogical but I always hate glass products because I expect for them to break, and yet they never seem to. This one has a nice solid feel to it and is steel, as if you couldn't tell from the picture. So far it has done a good job of actually filtering the grounds, smething other presses I've used seemed to fail at. Also it does actually keep things warm, just remember to turn the spout to closed so heat doesn't escape. After about 1 hour 45 minutes the coffee is still warm enough to be drinkable(at least for me though I don't have an asbesots mouth so I don't drink lavaesq temerature coffee). Take this with a grain of salt though I've had it only for a couple days, so I may be back here in a month saying it feels solid but isn't this thing broke on me.
